Sabor Verde: from Business Central and Excel to one system for the avocado chain

Sabor Verde (Fresh Line International) makes ready-to-eat avocado products from avocados grown with rainwater only. The administration ran on Business Central with plenty of Excel around it; the whole chain - sales, purchasing, inventory and accounting - now moves to one Odoo database.

Sabor Verde makes ready-to-eat avocado products: smashed, chunks and chunky guacamole, from perfectly ripened avocados grown with rainwater only - over 150 million litres of tap water saved, and a member of the Water Footprint Network. A brand with a sharp mission, and a fresh-produce chain that has to be right every single day.

The challenge

The administration ran on Microsoft Business Central, with what always grows around it in practice: Excel. For a food company working with fresh products that is unsustainable in the long run - sales, purchasing and inventory end up living in lists next to the accounting system, while that chain is exactly where the daily decisions are made.

The approach

In October 2026 Sabor Verde chose Odoo, and we started right away. The setup is deliberately sober: begin with five users on the core - sales, purchasing, inventory and accounting on one database - and build out from there. Not an everything-at-once project, but the chain first, so the difference with the Excel reality is felt immediately.

The result

The implementation is under way - this page grows with the project. What already stands: the choice for one system instead of an accounting package with spreadsheets around it, and a setup that scales from five users to whatever the brand needs.
