The honest version

This vacancy has been up here twice before. Twice we found someone who would rather advise than hunt. Nice people. Wrong role.

So this time we write it as it is. That way you know right away whether to apply. Or not.

This is the job

Landing new clients. Full stop.

The leads come from every direction. Sometimes they show up on their own, through the website or through Odoo. Sometimes you meet them at roadshows and trade fairs. Sometimes we buy them in. And sometimes you just have to chase them down by phone. Whatever the source: you own what happens next. Letting a warm lead go cold is just as bad as never calling a cold one.

There is hunting to do at existing clients too. Whoever did an implementation with us does not know Growdoo yet. Whoever runs Growdoo does not know our own software yet. New deal, new DMU, new conversation - only the door is already ajar.

Once you are in, the real work begins. You hold conversations at board and management level. You surface what is really going on, even when the client does not know it yet. You grow the DMU: from that one enthusiastic IT manager to the CFO who signs. You run product demos that are about the client, not about software. And you write custom quotes that get read.

Deals run three to nine months. Values of €50k to €250k. Multiple stakeholders, multiple interests, multiple moments where it can all go wrong. That is the part you enjoy most.

Your target: two strategic clients a month. Deliberately capped, because we never sell more than our consultants can deliver. An order book that drowns delivery makes nobody happy. Not the client, not the team, and in the end not you either.

This is not the job

No account management. No maintaining running client relationships - our consultants do that. No waiting for marketing to hand you something. No "thinking along about the proposition" as an excuse to avoid picking up the phone.

To be clear: selling a new proposition to an existing client is hunting. Keeping an existing client happy is managing. You do the first, not the second.

If the words "cold outreach" make something sink inside you: glad you read this far. This one is not it.

Why this is good hunting ground

And the market? Thousands of Dutch SMEs are stuck in outdated or fragmented systems. They are not waiting for you. But they do need you.

What you bring

A proven track record in new business. New logos, won by you - not inherited accounts. Experience with complex B2B sales and stakeholder management. Consultative selling is in your system: understand first, then sell. Software or ERP experience is a plus, not a requirement. Odoo we will teach you. Hunting we will not.

And maybe most important of all: you are accurate. What you promise has to hold up. You are the advance calling card of our consultants - if you are gold, we are 1-0 up before the kick-off.

Fluent Dutch and English, spoken and written. We implement internationally too, and a quote with language errors loses the deal before the price is even read.

What you get

A fixed salary of €55k-€65k (at 40 hours), plus a bonus scheme on what you land. Targets and bonus budget we set together anew each year - in line with the growth of the company and with what the team can deliver. That keeps your goals achievable and your reward fair. On a hit target you make an indicative €90k or more. Hunt well, earn well. But never at the cost of delivery.

Beyond that: intensive Odoo training, hybrid working from our office on the Johan Huizingalaan in Amsterdam, short lines, no management layers, and an organisation where "we will just sort that out" still really means it gets sorted.

How applying with us works

Intro (video, 30 min) - we are honest about the role, you are honest about your track record.
The practical round - you get a fictional prospect and run a discovery conversation with us. Then you pitch, in ten minutes, why that prospect should talk to Fanatics. No assessment gimmicks. Just the real work.
Terms conversation - usually wrapped up within two weeks of the first intro.
