One database, one product catalogue, one customer view - instead of Salesforce customers that do not quite line up with invoicing customers in a second system. The migration itself is usually not the main job - Salesforce data is well exportable via API or native export. The real work sits in rethinking the sales workflow without Salesforce-specific abstractions (custom objects, Apex, Flows). We translate those into Odoo equivalents in CRM, Sales and Studio.

For SMB scope: yes. Pipeline, lead scoring, tasks, email integration, reporting, forecasting - all present. For Salesforce Marketing Cloud-level sophistication or heavy partner portals, Salesforce is still richer. For the standard sales process, Odoo is sufficient.

What does Odoo CRM cost compared to Salesforce?
Salesforce Sales Cloud Professional starts at ~€75 per user per month, Enterprise at ~€150. Odoo CRM sits within the standard Odoo license at €20-35 per user per month including all other modules. For a team of 20 people that is a difference of tens of thousands of euros per year.

How do we migrate our Salesforce data to Odoo?
Standard Salesforce objects (Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Tasks, Notes, Attachments) come across via API or Data Export Service. Custom objects need manual mapping to Odoo models or fields. Expect 4-6 weeks of pure migration work on an average Salesforce set.

What about Salesforce Pardot / Marketing Cloud?
Not directly replaceable. For lightweight marketing automation we use Odoo Marketing Automation; for heavier work we couple Odoo to a tool like Brevo, HubSpot or Customer.io. We advise per case what fits.

Mostly SMBs up to 100 sales users where Salesforce cost no longer matches the functionality actually being used, and where purchasing-production-finance also needs to live in one system.
